Improvements since v9.00 have included printing, the composer and mixed/spliced touches.

Printing

offers a new Outline view, with scaleable images for easier selection, which you will find so much easier that it will render many of your templates redundant.   There is also a new Combinations tab allowing text+calls+lines+grid to be combined at the same time, as illustrated below.  The new Templates tab incorporates user definable images, which also include Combinations and orientation.  The old settings still exist, now on the Advanced tab where the margins are now measured in centimetres and warnings have been improved.

Print Options: Multiple Methods using Outline
It is an easy matter to print multiple methods on the same page, using the Outline's drag and drop facility and block positioning buttons, as shown here in the Preview, using the new overwrite option.

When printing multi-method touches in columns, it will show the method ID at each change of method, and when printing in a single column, it will show the previous row and join lines at page breaks.  Printing of call definitions has been improved to show the last line of 5 line calls, to stack vertically if space with multi-column priority, and improved block underlines.  Printing has been generally overhauled, and improvements include overwrite alignment, extending the print area at the bottom, permitting larger printers, plus auto-detection of pivot bell with ask/auto-switch, and general robustness.

Touches and the Composer

Touches can now include mixed stages (eg. Doubles and Minor) and, when ringing, method calls include the stage.  The Composer can now include spliced, with mixed stages, and has options to include 'all methods', keep hunt bells at home, keep tenors behind at mixed stages, improved handling of overlapping calls/events, improved '+' parts and a length tolerance of zero.  The prover and composer can now detect hand/back falseness to permit 240s of Doubles.  Analysis includes additional CRUs and will now report All The Work for multi-method touches, plus 'ATW at plain leads'.

Listening and Conducting Challenge

(overtaken by more recent improvements) has features suitable for a quiz, with options to randomise the numbers of bells within a selected range, with or without a covering tenor, auto-maximise, a new Ring menu incorporating short-cut keys, improved logging and auto-refresh on End ringing, plus improved start/stop, display, warnings and general usability.

Generally

There is improved sizing of docked windows, and pane split restoration on (de-)maximise.

Call Changes:

When ringing, it is no longer necessary to select a method if you only want to ring rounds and call changes.  The call changes editor now includes a prover (which allows for lead-in and lead-out), a false rows report, plus easier saving and improved messages.

In

Sound Settings

, the active bells are highlighted, for easy identification, according to both your selections and the current ring mode.

Sensor input

has been improved with detection of high or low signals, improved diagnostics display, response times as little as 2 ms, hand/back+place detection allowing Target Place mode, plus improved 'single signal with delay' input mode.  End switching has been improved, Call on-time can now apply to all calls including Stand, and called spliced touches are now retained on Stand/End for subsequent review.

There have been improvements in all other areas too, including the blue line preview, ropes animation and voiced calls, plus message icons, menu widths, help and the Upgrade Wizard.
